Guifei Spicy started with a pot of broth and a question: what if Sichuan hotpot could feel as refined as the ingredients that go into it? We simmer our bone broth for twelve hours. We source Hanyuan peppercorns for their citrus note and lingering warmth. We hand-select our chilies for depth, not just heat.
The name comes from Yang Guifei, the Tang Dynasty consort known for her love of richness and grace. That balance — bold flavour with quiet craft — is what we put into every bowl. Our spice levels are named after her world: Scholar, Warrior, General, Emperor, and Yang Guifei herself.
We believe good Sichuan food should be approachable. Whether you are trying malatang for the first time or you grew up eating it in Chengdu, you belong at our table. Our kitchen adjusts to you — not the other way around.
